2009 INT-150 Integrated Amp of the year - The Absolute Sound
Efter flere års efterspørgsel fra kunderne, har Pass Labs endelig imødekommet mange kunders forespørgsel, nemlig en integreret forstærker.
Problemstillingen startede egentlig med at kombinationen for/effektforstærker for mange, er en relativt dyr løsning, når man snakker et forstærkersæt
fra Pass Labs. Firmaet tog derfor beslutningen om den integrerede forstærker, og gik igang med at konstruere en løsning, der var brugbar.
Hurtigt stod det klart at en udvikling helt fra bunden, ville blive for dyrt, og samtidig havde man i forvejen den fornødne teknik fra de effektforstærkere
der allerede var i sortiment fra den nye .5-serie, og de besluttede derfor at udgangspunktet skulle være i X150.5-trinet, der prismæssigt ligger fornuftigt.
Sammen med X150.5-trinet, har man simplificeret en del af konstruktionen fra den mindste forforstærker, og integreret det i samme kasse.
Resultatet blev Pass Labs Int-150, en 2 x 150-watts integreret løsning med To balancerede indgange er naturligvis et must, og derudover finder man 4 linie-indgange baseret på solide
Tiffany-bøsninger. Derudover er der både balanceret og ubalanceret Pre-out, så Int-150 kan fungere som forforstærker sammen med en af de andre
effektforstærkere, f.eks. i en bi-amp konfiguration. Højttaler-tilslutningerne er med massive fingerskrue-løsninger som på resten af serien,
og de borger for maksimal forbindelse da de æder enhver tilslutning på dit terminerede kabel, uanset dimension og udformning.
Fjernbetjeningen fuldender helhedsindtrykket og er konstrueret i massiv alu med lækre knapper i drejet stål. Frontpladen er ligeledes i 20 mm alu, som
fra de store effektforstærkere. Man har udeladt det kendte watt-meter, der viser strøm-gennemgangen, og har istedet placeret et display hvor volumen
og gain-indstillingerne på de forskellige indgange, kan udlæses. Forstærkeren har en kampvægt på 32 kilo, og bygger blandt andet på en trafo på 1500 va
