XP-10 og XP-20 er højkvalitets High-end forforstærkere, hvor intet er sparet, hverken på design, kvalitet eller lyd. De bedste komponenter er anvendt, og alle tiltag er anvendt for at lave så støjfri konstruktioner som muligt.
Som i alle tidligere Pass-designs, er der anvendt et minimum af komponenter, og grundkonstruktionen er holdt så simpel så muligt for at undgå forstyrrende elementer.
Pass´ grundfilosofi bag den nye serie er ganske enkelt - bedst subjektiv og objektiv performance uanset prisklasse. Pass er overbeviste om at det meget vel kunne blive den sidste forforstærker, du som kunde, køber!
XP-10 og XP-20 er de naturlige afløsere for de topanmeldte og meget berømte modeller X0.2, X1 og X2.5. Denne serie har kørt siden lanceringen i 1997. De har dannet basis og grundlag for afløserne, og hele konceptet er nu yderligere forfinet.
Grundlæggende er den nye XP-serie ganske enkelt bare bedre på alle områder - både på målinger og på den generelle lydperformance. XP-serien er mere tro mod de forskellige topindspilninger der findes på markedet. Dynamikken er bedre og de tunge passager har mere vægt og finesse. Bassen er dybere og mere præcis, og hele den tonale balance er bedre afstemt. De små nuancer fremstår finere, med bedre opløsning og hele lydbilledet hænger bedre sammen, selv med højt og meget kompleks musik.
Volume-trinet i de nye forforstærkere, er opbygget med et nyt trin, baseret på mindre elementer og relæer, der giver lytteren et mere præcist lydniveau. Forstået på den måde at ved lavere niveauer har man et væsentligt lavere støjniveau, der resulterer i meget bedre detalje-niveau, som ellers typisk er et problem i mange systemer.
Præcis justering og adskillige lyttesessions har frembragt produkter der er mere tro mod materialet uden at være på bekostning musikalitet og finesse. Derfor er det nu muligt at have det fulde lydbillede uden at man behøver spille ved højere niveauer.
XP-10 er et godt bud på hvordan det skal gøres, men er det ikke nok, skal man skele til XP-20, som er den absolutte topmodel i serien. Hvor XP-10 er bygget i et samlet kabinet med strømforsyning i samme boks, har man på XP-20 hevet den ud og givet den sin egen kasse. Dette tiltag, blandt flere, har resulteret i endnu finere opløsning, og lidt mere af det hele i hele det tonale spekter.

The XP-10 and XP-20 are ultra high quality line-stage audio preamplifi er featuring direct access remote control functions and in the case of the XP-20 an external power supply isolated from the analog circuits of the preamplifi er in a cosmetically matched second chassis.
Like all Pass Laboratories designs, these products minimize the number of components and stages in the signal path, while delivering exemplary objective and subjective performance specifi cations in a highly reliable package. This could easily be the last preamplifi er you need to purchase. The Pass Laboratories XP-20 along with the XP-10 pre-amplifi ers are the natural
and more refi ned sounding descendants to the highly acclaimed and successful X series Preamplifi ers represented by our
models X0.2, X1 and X2.5.
World wide, the X series pre-amplifiers have received many highly respected accolades since their introduction in 1997…. justifi ably so. More importantly they have provided a solid foundation from which the current product evolved.

The new XP series pre-amplifi ers are more true to state of the art recordings than our previous product. Highly dynamic passages typically have more weight; bass lines are more clearly, cleanly, and accurately delineated. Instruments and voice are presented in a more refi ned spatial envelope, and with better spectral balance. Fine nuances and details become apparent -- even in loud and highly complex musical passages.
The volume steps on the new preamplifiers are more numerous and generally of smaller increments, giving the listener a wider choice of listening levels. So that these very low-volume listening levels have real world practicality, the noise fl oor and very fi ne detail retrieval of these new pre-amplifi ers is dramatically superior to our previous product.
Thoughtful listening and careful adjusting have produced products where enhanced detail comes through without any loss of musicality. You may play these preamplifi ers as loudly as you dare; but contrary to popular audio lore, you will not have to play your music at live performance levels to enjoy the experience.
As good as the XP-10 is, the XP-20 performance metrics are enhanced over those available in the XP-10 by virtue of a separate and additionally regulated power supply. For the listener these circuit enhancements will convey musical bass with signifi cantly more impact, articulation and timber accuracy. With well-recorded material the XP-20 will present a more refi ned sound stage than the XP-10 with greater ability to accurately delineate instruments in their proper spatial perspective of depth, width and height.
Simply put the XP products deliver the experience of a past musical event in a more believable sonic panorama than nything we have previously brought to market. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to substantiate this claim.
